We do another classical hike in the region, the MontRonds (big and small) overlooking Geneva, from the French Juras. (You can see from Geneva that there is a radio mast on the Juras. This is our destination.)
This is quite an easy walk, but it is still suggested to use proper mountain boots and poles.
Hike description:
From Col de la Faucille (above Gex), we go first to the Grand MontRond, then back via the Petit MontRond. Return is either walking on the ski slopes or by the ski lift.
Elevation gain: 400m
Distance: 9 km
Walking time: approximately 4 hours (at an easy pace)

Meeting time: Sunday 11th October @ 9H30.
Meeting place: Parking des nations – Rue Varembé – 1202 Geneva
Equipment: Good walking shoes, rain gear, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, poles (optional), warm clothes.
Please bring: Picnic and at least 2 liters of water.
